    “Hands on” fabricating position.  This role is responsible for fabrication of prototypes, prototype components and prototype fixtures.  Other responsibilities include developing methods to form, produce, modify components to meet customer requirements as well as ongoing support during the process of transferring parts/processes from prototype to production.


    Essential Functions:

    1. General fabrication of prototypes, components and fixtures
    2. Welding of fixtures, tack welding of prototype assemblies, some resistance spot welding
    3. Fixture layout
    4. Conceptualize and create prototype tools to form specialty components
    5. On time production of prototype parts



    1. High School Diploma or equivalency required; Associates’ Degree or Trade Certificate preferred
    2. 5 years of “hands on” fabrication experience in a manufacturing/prototyping environment desired
    3. Depth of knowledge of welding and troubleshooting weld processes
    4. Experience with forming, sizing, bending tubes and/or rounds.
    5. Creative, problem-solving mindset
    6. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
    7. Ability to complete tasks accurately in a fast-paced, customer focused environment
    8. Understanding of general manufacturing processes and tooling
    9. Ability to work from 2D drawings to create prototypes, components, fixtures
