    We have immediate openings in West Lebanon for Machine Operators with a minimum of 3 years of previous experience; 5 years of experience preferred. Successful candidates must demonstrate a solid and successful work history relevant to the job description.     The Machine Operator is responsible for safely performing machine setups to start the production cycle and as needed when the production schedule demands. Incumbent must also control and adjust the functions and settings of machines and will be responsible for ensuring products meet our quality standards with regard to assembly specifications.

    Responsibilities

    1. Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle and as needed when the production schedule demands.
    2. Control and adjust the functions and settings of machines (e.g. speed, pressure, etc.)
    3. Control and adjust the tooling required to operate the machine (e.g. dies, mandrels, etc.)
    4. Feed the necessary raw material or parts to semi-automated machines
    5. Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet requirements
    6. Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running
    7. Fix issues that might occur during the shift
    8. Check output to discover any machine-related mistakes or flaws
    9. Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
    10. Maintain activity logs
    11. When needed, act as a productive team member in other areas of the manufacturing process
    12. Enter production data into Epicor system
    13. Perform preventative and regular maintenance on machines to ensure that their operational life is extended
    14. Participate in 5S activities daily
    15. Participate in TFPS initiatives

    Qualifications

    1. High School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree is a plus
    2. Minimum of 3 years of experience working with industrial machinery, or consummate ability. 5+ years of experience is preferred.
    3. Demonstrated experience with diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.)
    4. Excellent understanding of production procedures
    5. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
    6. Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
    7. Analytical skills and attention to detail
    8. Teamwork and excellent communication skills
    9. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime
    10. Ability to often lift up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds with assistance

     

    Physical Summary

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, hear, grasp, reach with hand/arms, use hands including repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement,and operate mechanical equipment; occasionally required to push/pull, walk; and rarely required to talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs or balance. The employee will often lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing capacity required to maximize ability to understand all verbal communication and react accordingly. Basic PPE (safety glasses and safety shoes) are required.
