Our West Lebanon Facility has an opening for an 8-10 week Accounting Internship in Summer 2018.


The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the Accounting Department in ensuring the smooth operation of the department by performing a variety of accounting duties; Responsible for providing accounting support to accounting supervisors and other members of the team within the department.  Ensures files are complete and maintained as needed, handles accounts payable duties, and assists accounting personnel.  Maintains the highest level of confidentiality about the business.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provides support to all assigned areas in the financial management department where service or assistance is needed
  2. Performs related clerical duties such as answering the telephone, taking messages or forwarding calls, copying, typing routine letters, envelopes and forms, and filing.
  3. Research, track, and resolve accounting problems.
  4. Compile and sort invoices and checks.
  5. Input type vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records.
  6. File and tally deposits.
  7. Work with adding machines, calculators, databases and bank accounts.
  8. Match invoices to work orders.
  9. Process bills for payment.
  10. Open mail and match payments to invoices.
  11. Follows policies and procedures; completes administrative tasks correctly.



  • Current Business or Accounting Major
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to effectively communicate using both written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with others

Physical Summary

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, hear, grasp, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hand/arms, and use hands including repetitive wrist, hand and/or finger movement; occasionally required to talk, climb stairs or balance, or move up and down from/to sitting position on the floor. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing capacity required to maximize ability to understand all verbal communication and react accordingly. Basic PPE (safety glasses and safety shoes) are required when entering the shop area.
