Tru-Flex is well represented in other industries that count on flexible hoses to contain, control, protect, or transfer a variety of materials. Tru-Flex is seeking an experienced and proven leader to manage the operations of our manufacturing facility located in Attica, Indiana. The Production Manager will oversee production of the interlock hose manufacturing facility. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, personnel management, scheduling, quality, cost control, shipping, continuous improvement initiatives, maintenance, manufacturing technology, and reporting.


  • Ensure the safety of all plant employees by enforcing existing safety policies and proactively identifying and mitigating risks within the plant.

  • Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
  • Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
  • Develop and implement a manufacturing plan and provide a clear direction and focus. Monitor plant employees to accomplish the goals of the manufacturing plan.
  • Act as the liaison between the general manager and subordinate employees.
  • Direct and coordinate various programs essential to manufacturing procedures such as training, safety, housekeeping, cost reduction, security, etc.
  • Initiate and coordinate major projects (e.g. plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, etc.)
  • Share a trusting relationship with the work group and hire, manage, train, develop, and evaluate plant staff.
  • Manage standard plant human resource functions, in collaboration with the human resource department, including taking corrective action on personnel issues in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy as well as ensuring compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations.


  • Associates Degree or Two Year Technical Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role managing employees
  • Demonstrated team building, decision-making, and people management skills
  • Proven ability to evaluate individual and group performance
  • Proven ability to manage to KPIs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • MS Office proficiency
  • ERP experience preferred
